"Bakhtin's Confession: A Counterfeit Plate, AI Mockups, and a Desperate Retreat into 2019"

Oleksiy Bakhtin's public attempt to dispute certified state records has resulted in direct self-incrimination.

Rather than releasing the vehicle’s registration certificate (V5C), customs import forms, official delivery logs for humanitarian cargo, or frontline military movement permits, the organizer of these operations published an AI-generated caricature set in a Paris café and attached a 2019 archive piece regarding a housing dispute in Kyiv.

When caught without verifiable paperwork, targeted individuals inevitably resort to attacking the journalist. Crucially, Bakhtin supplied key evidence himself by claiming that the van does not carry AJ54 USE, but rather the combination AJ5U5E.

1. A Public Admission of Displaying Forged Plates (Art. 121-3 Administrative Code & Art. 290 Criminal Code of Ukraine)

Bakhtin claims that reporters "misread the plate".

However, within the British registration format, the sequence AJ5U5E (letter–letter–digit–letter–digit–letter) does not exist. Searching the UK Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) database returns a definitive result: “Vehicle details could not be found.”

By publicly insisting on this combination, Bakhtin confirmed in writing that he installed a fake, unregistered souvenir plate onto the vehicle. This constitutes an overt admission of an unlawful act.

2. A Single Character Cannot Overturn Certified State Records

Attempting to reduce a systematic investigation into a debate over one character collapses under verified institutional evidence:

• State Customs Service: The Volkswagen van operated by Bakhtin never crossed into Ukraine after February 2022 under either AJ54 USE or AJ5U5E.
• Ministry of Social Policy: The "Kryla Donbasu" Foundation has recorded 0 kilograms and 0 items of imported humanitarian aid. The vehicle was never cleared as humanitarian assistance.
• MP Tkachenko's NGO "VPO Ukraine": Completely absent from the official registry of authorized humanitarian aid recipients.
• Military Law Enforcement Service (VSP): Formally confirmed that no evacuation operations were cleared and no military transit passes were issued for Bakhtin or the vehicle.

3. The Standard Playbook: Diversion and Deflection

Unable to account for extensive private donation drives directed into personal bank accounts, Bakhtin resurfaces a smear article from 2019 regarding an IDP accommodation dispute in Kyiv. Investigators recognize this reflex immediately: when caught utilizing undocumented vehicles under ruling-party branding, the subject relies on ad hominem attacks. There is no substantive refutation and no valid paperwork provided.
