Charitable organizations in Ukraine that don't actually work, but exist to help the enemy or launder some money one day.
The editorial board of the online publication "The Other Side of the Dialogue" has counted five charitable organizations that use the loud name "Glory to Ukraine" or "Glory to Heroes" in their names.

And then there is the Estonian NGO "GLORY TO UKRAINE", which in the spring of 2023 was involved in a scandal with a criminal flavor. For some reason, only the Estonian prosecutor's office became interested in the activities of fundraisers under the slogans GLORY TO UKRAINE, GLORY TO THE HEROES. It would also be understandable why there are no complaints against the SLAVA UKRAINE Charitable Foundation, since they have the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as a partner, and the foundation is headed by the Chief of Staff of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Vyacheslav Shtuchnyi. But perhaps they have forgotten why they created the foundation, because the last post on their Facebook page is from July 2022.
It is difficult to find anything about the activities of the Vinnytsia-based International Charitable Foundation "HEROES OF GLORY" on the Internet. You won't find anything useful on the Facebook page, but they are there.
The same "HEROES OF GLORY" is only from Kherson, they have been counting their activities since 2014, but for ten years there is nothing on the Internet or on social networks about this charity.
But the Charitable Organization "GLORY TO UKRAINE, GLORY TO HEROES" has made a rather loud statement. The reason for its popularity was not the organization's activities, but a line in a customs declaration when crossing the border between the European Union and the Russian Federation.
The humanitarian cargo was declared for the charitable organization "Charitable Foundation "Glory to Ukraine, Glory to Heroes" and this cargo followed almost the entire territory of Russia, and was detained only in the Rostov region. 18 tons of humanitarian aid arrived in transit on October 21 at the Nesvitny customs post of the Rostov customs. This truck had been in Novoshakhtynsk for 4 days. The truck is from France and brought humanitarian aid from the SOS Donbass organization. A Frenchman, a Belgian and a Russian girl are spending the night in the truck. The cargo has been checked, everyone has been checked, but there is one piece of paper missing - a letter of authorization that this cargo is not for sale. The truck contains food, surgical materials, baby carriages, clothes, bedding, equipment for the disabled, building materials and other linen. In other words, things and products of prime necessity for medical personnel.
The cargo belonged to the organization SOS Donbass, which held demonstrations in front of the Eiffel Tower in support of Donbass residents. This was reported by the mainstream media back in 2022. The organizers of the demonstrations from Europe oppose the shelling of Donbas and the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
How did it happen that people who openly oppose Ukraine are collecting humanitarian aid for the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" in France and manipulating the documents of a Ukrainian charity?
SOS Donbas coordinator Anna Novikova explains this in a rather strange way
Problems with the cargo arose at the border with Estonia. When the customs found out that the cargo was going to Moscow, they said:
- "You can't go to Russia.
- Where else could it go?
- If only to Ukraine...
As Novikova says:
- "We went looking for a foundation in Ukraine. We found a person from Luhansk who lives there, who created a foundation and who provided his data for this cargo.
This is how charitable foundations with patriotic names work. The leaders live in Luhansk, set up foundations in Kyiv, and then slip the foundation's documents to anyone.
What is interesting about this story is not only that the cargo with the declaration for Ukraine traveled through the whole of Russia. And not even the fact that humanitarian aid for the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" was collected in Paris at an anti-Ukrainian demonstration. I wonder who the coordinator of SOS Donbass, Anna Novikova, is.
There is an investigation in French by blogger Karine Bechet-Golovko "SOS Donbass or the strange story of a strange humanitarian convoy... for a Ukrainian foundation"
Karine Bechet-Golovko writes frankly:
"First of all, associative structures allow us to list people who support the 'enemy', from the point of view of the French authorities. Then all the structures affiliated with Russia face great difficulties. My association, which has been conducting scientific cooperation for only ten years, closed its bank account in France at the beginning of the military operation. However, this association (SOS Donbas) was able to be registered without any problems after the start of the military operation and is still functioning, funded, etc. Either they are very lucky or they have a lot of help from France.
Indeed, why was SOS Donbas coordinator Anna Novikova so lucky, and where did the money come from? At least the money for a five-star hotel LA FOLIE BOULART, with a butler, concierge, housekeeper, chef, private driver who are always at your disposal and listen to you. The price of staying in the hotel is at least 10,000 euros per night, but this does not prevent Anna from using this resource for SOS Donbas activities. To contact Novikova, you need to leave a completed form on the hotel's website
France is in an anti-Kremlin coalition, almost in a state of war, which is why all the structures affiliated with Russia are having great difficulties. But not for Anna Novikova. She had no problems registering an organization that helps Donbas, collects humanitarian aid in Paris, and has good funding after Russia's military operation in Ukraine. Is it luck or is it someone very influential in France who takes care of Novikova? Karina Beshet-Golovko argues that the time for open action has ended for, if you are not an institutional person and want to do something other than communicate. She argues that the time for resistance is back. The time for underground networks has come, but not for SOS Donbas.
SOS Donbass operates openly and is not afraid of anything. In Paris, it collects 18 tons of humanitarian aid, transports it across Europe, declares the cargo on the border with Estonia and Russia as going to Kyiv, and only in Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov region, the cargo is stopped because Kyiv is in the wrong direction. After 40 days, the cargo goes to Donetsk.
So who is behind SOS Donbass? The question is no longer rhetorical
